As you might know almighty American post punk band INTERPOL is currently on hiatus which gives its musicians time to focus on other projects. We already witnessed frontman PAUL BANKS and his second solo album Banks, now drummer Sam Fogarino unveils his new musical interest in the form of EMPTY MANSIONS. He is joined by INTERPOL live member Brandon Curtis and Duane Denison. Their debut album snakes/vultures/sulfate will be released on April the 2nd via Riot House Records featuring eight tracks. Fogarino on his new output: “This alone took years to figure out. I’d finally written some songs that, I not only liked, but that I had to sing myself. There was no choice in the matter. To do it any other way would have rendered the whole endeavor dishonest and pointless.” You can already sense a bit of this on EMPTY MANSIONS‘ first single Lyra which can be streamed right here.
