Who is it?

In 2016, 21-year-old ILGEN-NUR moved to Hamburg, dropped out of university and lost her job. These experiences lead to her debut EP No Emotions which was recorded with prominent support, namely TRÜMMER’s Paul Pötsch on drums and bass and Max Rieger (DIE NERVEN, ALL DIESE GEWALT) as producer.

Why should you listen to it?

Cool is a catchy indie pop song about emotions and thoughts most of us can (still) identify with: The songwriter deals with growing up and what’s coming along with it. The complexity of this specific phase is encountered with a casual attitude and a directness and honesty reminding of ANGEL OLSEN and SOKO. The result is a simple song with funny elements although ILGEN-NUR describes her music as ‘sad songs about growing up’.

What’s next?

If you missed ILGEN-NUR’s support gigs during the last months, you have several possibilities to see her live this summer.
