Dear Reader - Victory TrailerWith Victory DEAR READER presents another song from her forthcoming third album entitled Rivonia – following the release of the song Down Under, Mining last week. Victory bases on the chanting of a choir that is wonderful as well as powerful – a choral performance that will lead the album to a great culmination.

The video works as a sort of album trailer with DEAR READER‘s Cherilyn MacNeil explaining it as follows: ‘We shot the video for ‘Victory’ on a cloudy Sunday at Constitution Hill, a famous landmark in Johannesburg and a place that played a significant role in South African history. Today the old fort and prisons have been converted into a museum, and are open to the public, but in the past many important figures were incarcerated there, including Nelson and Winnie Mandela, and Mahatma Gandhi. 15 local children between the ages of 7 and 11 played in the film, and undoubtedly slept very well after a long day of playing at battle.’

The new album from DEAR READER will be released on 8 April via City Slang. You can watch the album trailer right here:
