Back in February British indietronic band CLOCK OPERA returned with Venn, their truly satisfying second studio album, following a gap of almost five years. And while the record is packed with a variety of musical influences, ranging from grooving dance pop, to soulful indie rock, this special version of In Memory we are about to premiere is heading for more reduced direction.

Singer Guy Connelly explains its story in the following words:

To make this live and bare version of In Memory, we returned to Squarehead Studios in rural Kent, UK, where we’d had an amazing experience recording our new album Venn. ‘Under The Floorboards’ is a series of stripped back versions that we began in Che’s studio beneath his house around our first record Ways To Forget. We took so long to make our second record that he doesn’t live there any more. So instead we take the floorboards with us wherever we go.

And the track truly benefits from this delicate new version, we must say. CLOCK OPERA are also on tour, starting this week so you know what to do if the following clip will excite you as much as us.
