We’re almost ouf of the office door and heading straight to the direction of the well deserved Christmas holiday break but we’d like to present you one wonderful music video gem before we leave. We reported about Finnish artist Ringa Manner aka THE HEARING a few times before, debuting her sweet Backwards video earlier this year. Now, the tender dreampop songwriter returns with Faint, a new music video for a track off her second studio album Adrian. And the setting of this clip is totally fitting the winter season as directors Onni Nieminen and Ina Mikkola set the minimalistic story in a frosty Finnish sauna scenery.

The directors were pretty focussed with their idea: ‘We thought to ourselves that the extremely traditional scandinavian imagery (complete with snow and sauna) might actually complement the modern fresh sounds of the song. We realized that the song had found it’s video, and the video finally it’s sounds.’ Mrs. Manner agrees although she had an alternative idea in her mind first as she explains to NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION:

‘At first I had a completely different video idea for this song. Of course it would have included a full movie set in a studio, dancers and proper lights, heavy rigging and dolly tracks moving from one room to the next. There’s no way I could’ve afforded that or had the time to make any part of that happen, so I was extremely happy that someone else had a fun idea for the song. Super happy how it turned out!’

And we surely are happy how this works out and are more than thrilled to bring you the world premiere of the frosty new THE HEARING video right here.
