William Fitzsimmons - 2015

An empty church, a bearded musician, his guitar and a song to melt your heart. Of course, we’re talking about the one and only WILLIAM FITZSIMMONS right here. And he’s back with new material soon. Pittsburgh, the mini-album that follows last year’s Lions is set for a release on May 12 in the US via Nettwerk and Germany on May 15 via Grönland Records, featuring seven new songs that are mostly dedicated to FITZSIMMONS‘ grandmother Virginia and her home town Pittsburgh. Following her death last fall the charismatic songwriter found the time to reflect on his relationship with that special woman that carried the love for music on to her daughter and ultimately to the songwriter, of course.

Of course, I Had To Carry Her (aka Virginia’s Song), is dedicated to her and the funeral last year and WILLIAM FITZSIMMONS really understood to find the perfect setting for this sweet acoustic performance of the new song. No more words needed right here. NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION is extremely proud to bring you the world premiere of this lovely little video clip.
