Animal rights activist, lyricist and singer MORRISSEY – one of the most important figures in the history of indie music as most might know – will release a new live DVD in celebration of the 25th anniversary of his solo career. Morrissey 25: Live is his first live release since Who Put the M in Manchester? nine years ago and receives a worldwide cinematic release in August. The DVD will feature his concert at Hollywood High School on March 2 where the 54-year-old former THE SMITHS frontman performed a variety of his solo hits as well as tracks from THE SMITHS‘ back catalogue.
As MORRISSEY‘s nephew, Sam Esty Raynor, lately disclosed on Facebook the concert will be screened in 47 cinemas across the US and will be available in IMAX 3D. A first glimpse of Morrissey 25: Live you can get in the form of a minute-long trailer right here.
