What a gentle and lovely comeback on this Friday. Canadian dreampop composer Michael Silver aka CFCF finally returned to the limelight with his first new music in two years. The Ruined Map is a sweet and tender three-minute long teaser off his new longplayer Radiance & Submission. The follow-up to 2013’s Outside is set for a release via Driftless Records on July the 31st.
Silver himself described his new record as ‘kind of a dark, folky take on ambient and new age music.’ The Ruined Map already sees CFCF exploring surprisingly pure and raw territory without lacking his familiar strength of delivering slow paced sweetness. That’s definitely an album to look forward to, don’t you agree?
