The forthcoming debut album by Californian band TRAILS AND WAYS feels like it’s been in the making for ages. And that might be partly true as well. When NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION first talked with the band back in early 2013 they were already planning the record but not much has happened since. But the wait is over and the tropical pop four-piece from America’s sunny side will finally release its full-length studio debut Pathology on June the 2nd via Barsuk. They already gave us the catchy Skeletons a while back, today comes another new piece.
Say You Will is barely three minutes long and shows everything TRAILS AND WAYS are about. Sweet and sun-drenched indie-pop with Latin flavor, music that warms your heart and mind. That feeling doesn’t come as a surprise since the song is about falling in love as bassist Emma Oppen told PopMatters: ‘Two years ago I met someone very special, and had the experience of falling in love in a matter of hours. In my delirium, I imagined making an ultimatum: Say you will, or don’t say anything at all.’
