It’s been a constant back and forth for all fans of Tool Promo 300x200 No new Tool album in 2013, according to Maynard James KeenanAlternative metal legends TOOL lately we must say. It all started with drummer Danny Carey a few weeks ago who said that the work on a new album makes progress. And although one week later NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION reported about an anonymous accident of some band members which forced the group to delay the sessions, it still looked good for a proper follow-up to 2006′s 10.000 Days within the next twelve months.

But here comes the latest news from singer Maynard James Keenan himself – and all you TOOL fans out there won’t like it. As Blabbermouth.net reports Keenan told Chile’s Radio Futuro about the chances for a new record: “No new disc. Not this year . . . I have not written any songs. So no, there is nothing.” Furthermore he adds: “We normally don’t say anything about anything until it’s actually happening, because there’s a lot of people online that apparently can’t read very well”. This is slightly contratictory to the earlier reports. As always there is no guarantee if Keenan says the truth since he fooled media and press before. But we try to keep you updated on the latest TOOL information and maybe they surprise us once again.
