This Friday marks the return of an old friend. Jimmy LaValle and his project THE ALBUM LEAF return with new music. It’s the first one we heard from him since his collaborative album with SUN KIL MOON in early 2013. And it’s a lovely musical joint venture with crafted songwriter PETER BRODERICK who’s also known for being a member of EFTERKLANG.
Never Had a Baby was recorded at one afternoon in Los Angeles, according to the release info but it really doesn’t sound like a hasty reaction. It’s a tender song in the tradition of previous material by THE ALBUM LEAF. Let’s hope a new album is on its way as well.
