The project of Justin Vernon, BON IVER released their self-titled album last year and with this they had success that was simply not from this world. Grammy Award winning, amazingly hyped and touring ever since. But it seams as if there might be a break coming.
At last night’s Minnesota Public Radio station 89.3 The Current’s Local Show, Vernon was asked what BON IVER are “up to these days” and he answered:

“Winding it down. I look at it like a faucet. I have to turn it off and walk away from it because so much of how that music comes together is subconscious or discovering. There’s so much attention on the band, it can be distracting at times. I really feel the need to walk away from it while I still care about it. And then if I come back to it – if at all – I’ll feel better about it and be renewed or something to do that.”

Will this be the end of BON IVER? Or just a break? We’ll see. Most of it all we respect Justin Vernon’s decicion and hope he will find a way…
