Singer/songwriter and full-time hippie DEVENDRA BANHART has a new album coming up. It is called Marla and it will be released via Nonesuch Records on March the 12th. Recorded with long time collaborateur Noah Georgeson in Los Angeles, BANHART experienced new working ways for the floow up to 2009′s What Will We Be and also found a new self-understanding of his voice as he said: “I don’t really take care of my voice, but, just like with playing guitar, you get more familiar with it, and you get better at it. I’ve always said that I’m very good at not knowing how to play the guitar but, really, it’s just that I’m very comfortable with the utter uncertainty of my approach.” A new song from the album – the lovely Never Seen Such Good Things – already showed up today and it definitely makes us looking forward to the new longplayer.
