The Postal Service 300x194 The Postal Service return to stage in 2013, re release Give Up album

It’s a news a lot of people have been waiting for since one decade now - THE POSTAL SERVICE will most likely return this year with new material. The side project of DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE frontman BENJAMIN GIBBARD and electronic producer Jimmy Tamborello shares no details yet in which form the follow-up to their 2003 debut Give Up will be released but a look on their homepage already hints that something might actually happen this year. And surely we at NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION are very excited about this surprising comeback – just last year GIBBARD already hinted that they had not intentions in recording together again. We’ll keep you updated on this and until then we just lay back and enjoy a classic.
UPDATE: As Billboard now confirms, the duo will reunite for the Coachella Festival plus various other live shows during the summer of 2013. THE POSTAL SERVICE‘s label Sub Pop will also re-release their debut next month as deluxe edition to celebrate its tenth birthday. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like new material is about to follow
