New date, new design, new concept. The ever busy BERLIN FESTIVAL returns for a whole new event experience in 2015. Now officially located in the Arena Park in the German capital (following 2014’s slightly improvised edition) the event will start the festival season on the weekend from May 29 to 31, featuring a line-up that will make all lovers of contemporary and classic electronic beats quite happy. The headliners include Berlin’s very own FRITZ KALKBRENNER, British rave legends UNDERWORLD, the almighty JAMES BLAKE and RÓISÍN MURPHY plus plenty of other hyped acts that will help to turn the night into day.
Besides great names the BERLIN FESTIVAL will also feature plenty of interesting cooperations and concepts within the musical microcosm of the event. For the first time ever, NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION will host a NBHAP Special at the stage of the White Trash venue on the evening of May 29, featuring performances of the highly recommendable up and coming acts BRNS, THE GRISWOLDS, THE GARDEN and BANFI. So, you can already mark this evening in your calender, right?
Further freshly announced program points of the event include a Saturday special of beloved Berlin-based SUOL-label, featuring FRITZ KALKBRENNER and his label mates TENDER GAMES, MEGGY and CHOPSTICK & JOHNJON. There’s also going to be a ‘Berlin2Istanbul’ special which brings together DJs from Turkey and Germany. And Berlin’s techno legend WESTBAM curates a special ‘Original Players’ show, featuring legendary DJ’s HARDY HARD and TERRANOVA behind the decks. Expect some oldschool rave flavor right here.
