For Belgian/Dutch rock band DRIVE LIKE MARIA the year 2013 starts with the release of their second album which is simple titled as the band itself, Drive Like Maria. An album that features 11 songs somewhere between stoner rock, rock’n'roll and blues rock.

No doubt that DRIVE LIKE MARIA‘s songs are influenced by acts like LED ZEPPELIN, ZZ TOP, NEIL YOUNG and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE. But still the Beligan/Dutch band manages to create their very own rock sound. A rock sound that invites to dance, to party and most of it all: to rock. Above all Drive Like Maria is also an album that has its very soft sides and with this it becomes an album that you don’t necessarily have to listen when you are in the mood to rock, dance and party. It also becomes an album that you can listen when you want to just listen to great rock music. Songs that invite to move, but that still have a side that allow to only tap your feet on the ground. And if you feel like tapping hard, you can do it of course. Just take care that the people that live beneath you will not be annoyed. And if they will, just turn up the volume and drive like Maria. Obviously Maria is someone who likes to drive the way she wants, that does not give a f*uck what people think about her and her driving style.
