Berlin-based electronica trio BRANDT BRAUER FRICK is heading in new directions with their upcoming studio album Miami. Released in early March via !K7 records it will feature a lot of guests and a new musical approach as Paul Frick points out: “We wanted to be more spontaneous this time. We wanted to do something very different, more dark and more rough. We wanted to write songs rather than tracks that slowly evolve.” Looks like we can expect more structure from the band who’s quite famous for avoiding it. With their intense live shows – where they tend to play electronic music with the help of classical instruments – these guys already made himself a name. Now, BRANDT BRAUER FRICK have premiered a first tune out of the new ones. Download the pumping Broken Pieces, a collaboration with JAMIE LIDELL right here for free (via Stereogum).
