But there is even more to talk about. Let’s see through the start of the brand. Inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat and his ‘Man Made’ project, ‘Woman Made’ is therefore dedicated to him. Jean-Michel Basquiat is a legendary figure for the street-art and hip-hop scene. Today’s super stars like Jay Z, Kanye West and Madonna have been referred to him through their music. His paintings are collectors items. His style was abstractly standing out. Basquiat was talking out loud about social and political problems like racism and poverty. In 1979, he formed an experimental band, along with Michael Holman. They were called ‘Gray’.He died in New York, in 1988, at the age of 27.
