Austria’s Mayrhofen Mountains have been the home of Snowbombing festival every spring since 2005. The location allows for skiing in the renowned slopes aside constant sets of EDM DJs and bands. If that isn’t enough to attract you already, let’s add that the festival’s stages and parties spread across Mayrhofen village and throughout the mountains. The festival shies away from the typical stages, instead setting the shows in breathtaking places simply by using the surroundings. Sets take place in the forest bordered by pines, in an underground tennis court, and even in a massive igloo atop the mountain peak. Also, if you’re looking for a break between sets or after a day on the slopes, the festival offers a collection of saunas, spas, jacuzzis.
Snowbombing has hosted acts such as DISCLOSURE, RUDIMENTAL and FOUR TET, and this year will bring the headliners of BASTILLE, JUNGLE, and a returned performance by FATBOY SLIM.

The festival is coming up on April 4th and runs through the 9th, so be sure to take part in the competition til February the 25th latest. You can find a list of contest rules below.
- 2 x festival wristbands for Snowbombing
- The event wristband for the competition is a GA (General Admission) wristband.
- This will gain access to all of the evening and day events of the Snowbombing festival, excluding the 2 ticketed events, the Backcountry Party & Arctic Disco, which are small capacity additional parties. The artists playing at these additional events will also be performing in other snowbombing events, so the competition winners will be in no danger of missing a listed artist.
- Venues included in a GA wristband include: Europahaus, Racket Club, Bruck N Stadl, Arena, Sports Bar, Forest Parties, Street Party, Ice Bar, Arctic Disco (daytime only), Mountain Terrace, Snow Park Terrace, Rompa’s Reggae Shack, Racket Club Garden Bar.
- You must turn 18 years old by the first day of Snowbombing otherwise admission is not permitted and you will not be issued a wristband for entry to the events.
- All wristbands for the festival will be RFID (electronic) and will need to be registered to be valid. This is recommended to be done in advance of the event, but can also be done on arrival. The wristband will be for access, but also used to pay for drinks in designated venues. The wristbands can be topped up in advance, and / or in cash at the event at designated top-up stations.
- Wristbands will either be sent out in advance (2 weeks prior to the show), or picked up in resort (to be determined). Final information for customers is usually sent out 2 weeks in advance.
- As the wristbands are registered to a particular user, the wristbands cannot be promised / given to someone else, without prior notifying the event organisers and receiving confirmation this is ok and amended on the system.
