It gets dark, ladies and gentlemen. Be prepared for this talented Swedish musician.

Context?

After crafted Swedish singer ADIAM released her self-titled debut album in 2009, we haven’t heard much from her. She’s now set to release a new EP at the end of October, and this is the first of what we’ve seen of what’s to be expected.

Why Should I Watch This?

Because the minimalistic, repeating visuals pair well with the looping electronic beat and ADIAM’s cool, smoky voice. Rorschach inkblots drift across the screen, alternating with images of water. It’s still and dark, shot in black and white, and though nothing really happens, it’s compelling nonetheless. Oh, and it was produced by TV ON THE RADIO’s Dave Sitek.

Anything Else?

Keep an eye out for her upcoming EP Dark Lake, which based on this single, should be move over to a more electronic feel than her first album. It will be released on October 23.
