Crafted Swedish singer ADNA returns with new music and what a sweet comeback it is. Overthinking and Thoughts are the first teasers off her forthcoming third LP Closure. The follow-up to 2015’s Run, Lucifer arrives on March 17 via Despotz Records and judging from the first singles this young lady is definitely ready to reach the next level. Compared to her quite reduced previous pieces this new material is surprisingly epic power-pop without sounding pretentious. Still, ADNA manages to keep the melancholic vibe of her music alive. You can enjoy both tracks below, combined with statements by the artist about them.

‘Thoughts’

‘I wrote this when I was 16 as some kind of declaration of love to the place where I have my roots. Despite all the sorrow and the melancholy, it’s the most beautiful place I know. I wanted to update and release this song, because it feels important to also see and think of the beauty in the things that otherwise are connected to sorrow.’

‘Overthinking’

‘I believe we all have a dark place inside of us, some more aware of it than others, and we all have our own way of dealing with it. I tried embracing mine, which led to finding a home within it, but also of course – the making of this record. ‘Overthinking’ was written about a year ago in some kind of apathy state of mind, inspired by that time and all about the contrasts.’
