Is Aphex Twin hinting on releasing new music in 2014?

Looks like somebody is planning quite an impressive publicity stunt right here.

It looks like Warp Records and mastermind Richard D. James aka APHEX TWIN have some big plans for the remaining 2014. According to the NME and various eye witnesses an airship with the number ‘2014’ and the famous APHEX TWIN logo inside the ‘0’ was spotted above the Oval Space in Hackney. And as Pitchfork reports the logo was also spotted outside the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Currently nobody has a clue what this means and Warp Records hasn’t published any official statement yet but since James already stated back in 2010 that he had music for about six albums ready it might be only a matter of time.

New APHEX TWIN material would mark the first one in nine years. James’ last album under his alias, Drukqs, was released back in 2001. NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION will keep you updated on this story.
