Canadian electronic musician Michael Silver aka CFCF has announced a new EP entitled Music for Objects which will be released on the 8th of July via Paper Bag Records and Dummy Records. Already now he shares the first song Camera which starts with a beautiful repeating minimalist saxophone – played by FRANCESCO DE GALLO who does the sax for DIRTY BEACHES too – and piano figure sounding forsooth like a PHILIP GLASS oder STEVE REICH remix. And while we are on the subject, CFCFalso got skills as a remixer as you can explore on his appearance on our Nothing But… Synthgaze-compilation or his remixes for the likes of HOLY GHOST! and HEALTH.
About his upcoming Music For Objects the Montreal producer said: „It inspired me to look at the everyday objects on my desk and all about my apartment and outside on the street and see that there was something kind of inexpressible about them that I wanted to convey through music.” So what he saw in his Camera you can hear right here:
