Although COLD SPECKS started her career only in 2011, her way is already paved with success and two impressive records. Her debut I Predict a Graceful Expulsion (2012) was a breathtaking evidence of her inner conflict between faith and the escape from religion. Since her deeply religious family would not have approved of her music career, Al Spx gave herself the pseudonym COLD SPECKS and moved from Canada to London. It didn’t take long until Mute took notice of the young singer with the bluesy voice, dangling somewhere between pain and childlike confidence.
Last year her long-awaited second album Neuroplasticity came out and proved that her talent is not yet exhausted.
