Coldplay announce ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ LP, their potential ‘final’ album

Looks like Chris Martin was almost too chatty in last night’s Zane Lowe show.

Last night COLDPLAY frontman Chris Martin visited BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe to celebrate the band’s single Magic winning ‘hottest record of the year’ at the show. Besides that Mr. Martin revealed a few interesting things on the current work for the follow-up to this year’s longplayer Ghost Stories. First of it, he announced a potential title for the album – A Head Full Of Dreams. And then he said a lot of interesting things about the approach for the record.

‘It’s like the last Harry Potter book, not to say there won’t be another thing one day but its the completion of something,’ explains the musician. ‘I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing, otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it, you see what I mean?’ he continues. Well, does that mean that A Head Full Of Dreams will be the final COLDPLAY album? It’s easy to think of that since Martin uses quite big words when he speaks of the seventh album by his band. It’s probably more about the spirit during the recording process since the band will deliver the best output they can.

Besides that Chris Martin furthermore confirmed that COLDPLAY will go on a big world tour after the release of the record. Like already hinted in the summer, the new record is more likely to fit a stadium sound – which Ghost Stories didn’t. Well, guess we just have to wait and see what the future brings. Listen to Martin’s full interview right here.
