Who is it?
Birmingham trio TERROR WATTS, (Tom Hughes (vocals/guitar), Jake Wilks (bass) and Olly Caunce (drums)), who after being scattered between New York, London and France eventually reconvened back in their home city and formed the group. They’ve got a debut EP on the way, and here’s the first single, So Alone.
Why should you listen to it?
Clocking in at just under two minutes, So Alone is rapid but enormous fun. It’s a breakneck whirl of peppy guitars and breezy harmonies, with echoes of WAVVES at their most poppy. Summer’s almost here, and you’ll struggle to find a song better suited to blasting out the speakers when you’re cracking open that first beer in the sun.
What’s next?
The Terror Watts EP is out on May 26th on PNKSLM Recordings.
