This sounds like a great idea for all vinyl and music lovers. Back in 2015 Turntable Kitchen successfully launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a monthly vinyl subscription series called Sounds Delicious. The concept is that various independent artists covering some of their favorite albums in their entirety. Now, Turntable Kitchen is announcing first contributors to the campaign with one being DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE frontman BEN GIBBARD. He covered the entire 1991 TEENAGE FANCLUB LP Bandwagonesque and explains his choice in the following statement.

‘Bandwagonesque is my favorite record by my favorite band of all time. It came along at a pivotal time in my musical life and I’ve loved it for over 25 years. It’s been such a blast taking these songs apart to see how they work and then putting them back together again.’

Further contributos to the series including THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART covering TOM PETTY’s Full Moon Fever and Jonathan Rado of FOXYGEN taking care of the almighty Born To Run by BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. A full schedule is still to come but you can find more information right here. It would technically be GIBBARD‘s second solo album, following 2012’s Former Lives. Stream the original right here.
