Slow, steady, overwhelming beauty. We all love these beardy folk-bards for exactly that, don’t we? And in this sense, we of course also love Canadian songwriter Jonas Bonnetta and his musical project EVENING HYMNS for that. Last year’s release Spectral Dusk is nothing but a hauntingly beautiful collection of songs somewhere between folk and ambient, in which Bonnetta kept on dealing with the death of his father. Serious and highly tangent topic, but you will be surprised what a lovely guy Bonnetta and his band-mates are, when you get to see them live. Humorous and very down-to-earth, EVENING HYMNS concerts feel like a gathering of good friends. And to become part of one of these, here comes another chance: EVENING HYMNS will tour Europe once again.
The uprise of sun, nature and love – that is what spring usually evokes in us. Now there’s some distinct amount of sadness added, when EVENING HYMNS hit the road.
