Sound of the Day: Lola Marsh – ‘Sirens’

In the mood for a little dreamy piece of folk-pop to save your weekend?

It’s a rainy Monday morning, your boss has given you a long list of things you promised to do before the weekend. You need to find a solitary escape for your 5 minute coffee, a perfect opportunity to sink into LOLA MARSH’s Sirens.

Yael Shoshana Cohen’s lead vocals saunter in over forlorn melodies that seem lifted from an old folk tale, a siren song. The strong yet drifting vocals are mirrored perfectly by the dreamy pop that sounds like a classical symphony, combing loud crashes with soft wailing. It’s a perfect escapism and remember ‘in a million years it’ll all be over.’

Sirens will be featured on LOLA MARSH’s debut album, which will be released later this year exclusively via Anova Music.
