Over the past months M.I.A. has released new material to tease a potential new album, including the politically chargend and acclaimed Borders music video. Still, there’s no sign of her new album Matahdatah – until now. The singer now tweeted that the work on her first LP since 2013 is officially finished and she handed it over to her label while also stating that it is her ‘last album.’
It is yet unsure whether this means her final LP at all or just the final one in her contract with Interscope. M.I.A. also stated that she currently doesn’t have a Visa for the USA to promote or tour the album as well. We’ll keep you updated on any news.
I am handing my last LP in to my American label this week. It’ll be up to them if its released.I don’t have visa 4 states to promote or spk!
