It’s been seven years since American indie rock institution MODEST MOUSE released its latest album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. And although the band went on tour in-between and confirmed new recording sessions now and then we haven’t heard actual new music by the band in years. But it looks like this will finally change next year.
The band just opened their very own Instagram account and posted a mysterious photo of a white label vinyl record with the title Lampshades On Fire written on it. Fans will know that this is the title of a song MODEST MOUSE has been playing during their live sets of the past three years. Whatever it might be we’re looking forward to more in the year 2015.
