Morrissey signs to Harvest/Capitol, new LP arrives later in 2014

After NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION recently already hinted the musical return of MORRISSEY in 2014 it looks like the news is now official. According to a press release the legendary SMITHS-singer signed a new record deal with Harvest Records/ Capitol to releasethe follow up to his 2009 album Years Of Refusal.

It is furthermore stated that MORRISSEY will start recording his new album next month in France with the help of his band and producer Joe Chiccarelli (THE STROKES, THE SHINS). The singer itself is quoted to be quite excited about the new recordings. Pretty soon he will also announce new tour dates. The longplayer is set for a release in the second half of 2014. It’s not said yet if MORRISSEY will actually record any of the previously live premiered new songs for this album. We’ll keep you updated on this.
