Not a hoax but an actual pan. A solo album by former NIRVANA singer KURT COBAIN could arrive this summer, featuring plenty of old demos and tracks from his personal archives. At least that’s what Brett Morgen, director of the recently released documentary Cobain: Montage Of Heck, stated in a recent interview. For the creation of the movie Morgen was given access to COBAIN’s old stuff, featuring over hundred cassettes of audio material. As the director now tells he’s planning to release the music as an album this summer.

According to Morgen the record ‘will feel like you’re kind of hanging out with Kurt Cobain on a hot summer day in Olympia, Washington.’ So don’t expect a surprising new NIRVANA record. Morgen adds: ‘It’s just Kurt and you’re going to hear him do things you never expected to come out of him.’ Details on the new album are still to follow but you can listen to the musicians cover of THE BEATLES’ And I Love Her from those archives right here.

Disclosure return with new song ‘Bang That’

Praised British electronic siblings DISCLOSURE report back with new music. The track with the subtle title Bang That marks the first teaser of the duo’s second album which follows 2013’s successful debut Settle and is planned for a release later in 2015. The band also shared a short statement with the release of the song: ‘As work speedily progresses on our next record, we wanted to give you guys something for the summer. Been playing this one in our DJ sets for a while now and couldn’t resist putting it up! Hope you enjoy… So much more on the way!’ Listen to it right here
