Now, that’s quite an interesting cover attempt. Acclaimed Austrian performer Anja Franziska Plaschg aka SOAP&SKIN covered a track by Syrian performer OMAR SOULEYMAN. The song Mawal Jamar is taken off his 2013 record Wenu Wenu and Plaschg really managed to give it a total different twist. It’s a nice contribution to more international understanding on a cultural level, we must say. Listen to the new SOAP&SKIN piece right here.

It’s been a while since we heard actual news on the long awaited 11th studio album by Thrash Metal gods SLAYER. The yet nameless follow-up to 2009’s World Painted Blood is still planned for a release in the course of 2015, it seems. At least, the band returns with new music from it. When The Stillness Comes is another teaser of the album (following last year’s Implode) and is set for a release tomorrow on Record Store Day. Kerry King on the contest of the song: ‘It’s about a dude who wakes up at a crime scene and realises he’s killed everybody. It’s really cool.’ That’s how we like SLAYER. Listen to the song right here.
