Last summer beloved Australian songwriter and producer NICK MURPHY announced that he would ditch his musical alias CHET FAKER and start to release music under his own name. Following a few first tracks a few months back he now released a brand new EP called Missing Link, his first proper output since 2014’s Built On Glass album. The EP is lead by the KAYTRANADA single Your Time.
In a press statement MURPHY explains the change of name:
‘Chet Faker was me trying to prove something to myself but my tastes are pretty dynamic and I realized Ive spent time resisting that. Now I want to put everything in. Its not conceptual anymore. Its just me, and it made sense to show that in a name. It feels like a rediscovery.’
He also announced new tourdates which you can find below the new EP.
