Mike Hadreas and his alter ego PERFUME GENIUS announce a new studio album. Too Bright is the name of the new longplayer that follows Put Your Back N 2 It from 2012. The artist’s third longplayer is set for a release on September 23 via Matador, featuring eleven new songs by the charismatic singer. Already today PERFUME GENIUS presents a first track from the longplayer, called Queen.
According to Hadreas it’s about ‘gay panic’ as he states: ‘Sometimes I see faces of blank fear when I walk by…if these fucking people want to give me some power—if they see me as some sea witch with penis tentacles that are always prodding and poking and seeking to convert the muggles—well, here she comes.’ You can listen to the song right here.
