Britt Daniel and indie-rock institution SPOON have been slowly teasing news regarding a follow-up to their 2014 LP They Want My Soul. Now, the band confirmed that Hot Thoughts is the title of their new record which is ready to be released on March 17 via Matador Records. According to the press release the record was produced by Dave Fridmann and described via the term ‘pop as high art, delivered with total confidence and focus’. A first single off the LP arrived in the form of the album’s title track which also opens the album. Aside from that SPOON already placed a new song called I Ain’t The One in the famous Showtime drama Shameless back in December. You can catch the heart-warming piece of soulful indie rock in that scene below as well as the new Marcel Dzama directed video for Can I Sit Next To You.
