The Replacements might record another album

At least a little bit of hope is better than nothing at all.

Influential American alternative rock band THE REPLACEMENTS is currently touring their home country with a celebrated reunion tour and their first shows in 20 years. Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson reformed back in 2012 and also recorded a limited EP over cover songs called Songs For Slim to benefit former bandmate Slim Dunlap who had suffered a stroke.

Now it looks like the remaining two members of THE REPLACEMENTS are not against the idea of recording their first full-length album. A recent interview with the Rolling Stone Magazine says the band is likely to record a new longplayer with Westerberg having ‘plenty of songs in the hopper.’ We’ll see how this will work out in the end. In the meantime enjoy the group’s recent performance of the classic Alex Chilton at the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
