Sound of the Day: The Twilight Sad – ‘The Airport’

A classic case of ‘Should have been on the album.’

by

The Twilight Sad - 2014

Dulcet Scottish tones are showcased in THE TWILIGHT SAD’s new track The Airport, the B-Side to new single I Could Give You All That You Don’t Want. The Airport was just missed off the tracklist of their highly acclaimed record Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave.

Much like the rest of the record, The Airport offers a parallel of heartbreaking vocals with a melancholic melody. The pinnacle line in the track ‘Tell me that you’re oh so scared’ encapsulates the rest of the record. Forlorn and depressive yet paradoxically sweet and sharp. Offering an understanding musical ear for those lost in the battles of love.

I Could Give You All That You Don’t Want will be available digitally 10th of February. However it will only be available physically in the form of limited edition vinyl, which will only be available on their upcoming U.S. tour starting in New York on 24th February. Oh, and just in case you were wondering how funny THE TWILIGHT SAD are don’t forget to check out their recent ‘Confronting‘ feature on NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION. But before that – take a trip to The Airport right here.
