Californian dreampop band TYCHO have been known for their dreamy electronic music for more than a decade now but they never released a song with actual vocals on it. Something, mastermind Scott Hansen told us back in 2014, just doesn’t fit to the concept of the project. But everybody is allowed to change his mind and so did Hansen. The result is a joined venture with New York R&B duo BEACON in the form of a re-worked version of See, a song from the band’s 2014 LP Awake.
Back then the New York duo reworked the song and used it as their own, later the band’s Thomas Mullarney III joined TYCHO at the Coachella Festival to perform See and now the track finally gets released as a proper studio recording. Hansen and his band are currently touring last year’s Epoch album.
