When Awir Leon, J.Kid and Tismé get together they’re known as UNNO (which stands for UNexpected NOte, by the way), one of the most exciting new French electronic groups around. The trio are freshly signed to Nowadays Records and about to release an expanded ‘Take Off Edition’ of their 2015 EP As We Land. And to celebrate that, we here at Nothing But Hope And Passion are happy to bring the premiere and exclusive free download of Blue Leaf from that EP.
Blue Leaf is electronic dance with an icy sheen, the group’s slick vocal interplay paired with thudding beats and chilly synths. The band say of the track:
‘This track is our most direct track in terms of lyrics, it is about love, relationships, life together. How you let go of what your life used to be, so you make room for something else. The ‘Blue Leaf’ could be each of our girlfriends, or all of them together, but also our own soft sides.’
