Berlin-based songwriter Fil Bo Riva has been a restless traveller, to say the least. Ever since the release of his 2016 EP If You’re Right, It’s Alright he’s been on the road, performing at almost every possibility that came along. Carried on a wave of soldout solo shows he continued to conquer Europe by supporting electro folk two-piece Milky Chance last fall and that brings us directly to the content of his new music video which NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION exclusively debuts today.
The clip for Head Sonata (Love Control) follows Fil Bo Riva and his band on the road, on stage and in-between gigs, which felt quite strange for the songwriter at the beginning but quickly nobody noticed the presence of the camera anymore as he says. Furthermore the video also documents the breakout from the a long studio session prior to the tour which saw the musician working on his anticipated debut album. Head Sonata (Love Control) is one of the results from that session and it was probably nice to directly ‘live test’ it with the audience in the aftermath.
You can definitely sense the live qualities of the uplifting folk/pop tune and the music video shows that the audience is definitely digging the Fil Bo Riva vibe as well.
