MADANII fights with her inner self in debut music video ‘DRKNSS’

Today’s video premiere introduces MADANII, a promising new artist we hardly recommend to watch out for!  The Berlin based Iranian-German songstress is just at the beginning of her musical journey – a mystical and dark ride which combines elements of pop, R&B, trap and electronic music. The songs often deal with political and socio-critical topics that arise from her background and surrounding world. With DRKNSS, MADANII reveals her second single, but first full music video.

The darkness that gets you is stuck under your skin – according to the artist herself, the song deals with your very own darkness. The one you carry around and which can take control over you in certain moments. ‘To me it’s a very personal theme, but I guess each person associates something different for themselves. An own darkness.’

The dark and gloomy visual shows the singer not only in a fight next to a masked figure – an interpretation and incarnation of darkness – but tells a haunted story of sacrifice.

‘The video focuses on darkness in its inner core and shows a form of personification towards it. The inner struggle is performed outside and gets physical and real.’
