Sound of the Night: Abay – ‘I Have A Dream’

Seriously – who doesn’t love ABBA in some form? At least one or two songs. The tunes of the legendary Swedish pop outfit have always been just too irresistible. And they have been covered multiple times by various artists. ABAY are the latest artists to follow that tradition. Some of you might remember the voice behind this new band. Frontman Aydo Abay has been lead singer of legendary German alternative rockers BLACKMAIL for years as well as the main force behind his side project KEN.

But now in 2014 it looks like the musician is in the mood for a restart of himself and his art. ABAY is the project to accomplish that wish. And what better way is there to start than with a cover of ABBA? And since the band likes to define its music as ‘apocalyptic post-pop’ it is no surprise that their rework of the legendary I Have A Dream is far more than just a fancy pop song.
