Sound of the Day: Catfish and the Bottlemen – ‘Cocoon’

Who said real indie-rock is dead? Not in the musical microcosm of Welsh outfit CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN. If you look pass the quite funny name you’ll find heart-wrenching and powerful rock anthems. The ones that make you wonder who actually declared the death of indie-rock in the first place. It’s alive, it’s vital and Cocoon is the best example.

After various singles the group around singer Van McCann will release it’s debut longplayer The Balcony on September the 15th. A few days earlier CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN will also play our very own NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION stage at this year’s Berlin Music Week. So, if you are in town, grab your old leather jacket and join us for a bit head banging.
