Sound of the Night: Cathedrals – ‘OOO AAA’

Sometimes when you’re running out of words as an artist the simple ‘just sing a few vowels’-trick remains the best one. It’s basically as old as pop music itself but still there’s a big difference in how you approach that trick without making it sound cheesy. San Francisco-based duo CATHEDRALS named their new single OOO AAA. Quite an easy choice but still they managed to do this with a great amount of class.

Just like their last song Want My Love their music is a great take on contemporary wave pop with a dark undertone and a certain mainstream appeal. Everything seems possible and it looks like CATHEDRALS are a band to watch out for in the future. Their self-titled debut EP arrives on September 8 via Neon Gold and you can enjoy OOO AAA right here as today’s ‘Sound of the Night’ on NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION.
