It looks like the godfather of pop, DAVID BOWIE, didn’t planned that last week’s Blackstar, would be his final studio album. According to a new interview with his longtime producer Tony Visconti the legendary musician was highly motivated to record another album pretty soon as he states:

‘At that late stage, he was planning the follow-up to Blackstar, and I was thrilled. And I thought, and he thought, that he’d have a few months, at least. Obviously, if he’s excited about doing his next album, he must’ve thought he had a few more months. So the end must’ve been very rapid. I’m not privy to it. I don’t know exactly, but he must’ve taken ill very quickly after that phone call.’

However, it looks like there’s more music from the final Blackstar sessions that is just waiting to get released somewhere soon. According to the NME, The Los Angeles Times, knows that there’s more BOWIE music on the way as they state: There are five more songs from these sessions that have yet to be released. So look forward to next Christmas and hope for a deluxe edition. No information from the artist’s side yet.

DAVID BOWIE died at the age 69 last Sunday, following a 18-months long battle with cancer. His final album Blackstar was meant as a special farewell gift to his fans.
