Sound of the Night: FKA Twigs – Water Me

From time to time there comes a song to leave you breathless. A song that fits perfectly into the moment and a certain scenario. And right for tonight, Water Me by FKA TWIGS is such a song. It comes out of nothing, it crawls directly under your skin and into your head. And this all makes it perfect material for this day’s sound of the night here on NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION.

While the artist name FKA TWIGS might not be that familiar to most of you her label Young Turks. It’s the hometown of such high quality bands lik THE XX, SBTRKT, GLASSER or CREEP. And the upcoming first release from her on the label, simply entitled EP 2, out on September the 9th, might offer a few surprises. The haunting reduced sounds of Water Me clearly mark one. Especially in combination with these weird images. Let’s not hope it haunts you down tonight.
