Although hyped British trio THE XX is currently working on their anticipated third studioalbum it looks like mastermind JAMIE XX still got enough time to produce proper solo material. Following the previously released double single Sleep Sound/ Girl in spring the acclaimed electronic mastermind is now back with new material. All Under One Roof Raving is a smooth grooving piece of minimalistic electronica, packed with a bunch of old vocal samples that are a clear nod to traditional rave culture. And of course, his beloved steel pans also make a return.
It is rumoured that JAMIE XX will also release his solo debut later this year before switching back into full-band-mode in 2015. Nothing is confirmed yet but we’ll keep you updated. In the meantime keep slow raving with this Monday’s ‘Sound of the Day.’
