Sound of the Day: NEWMEN – ‘Overboard’

It’s Friday so we better take things a bit smoother today. And a bit more melodic. And here to guide us through the last day of the work week are five guys from Frankfurt, Germany and their latest easy-floating single. NEWMEN is the name of the group. And Rush Rush is the name of their debut album which happens to get released today.

If you’re a fan of melodic indie music with a certain feeling for romantic new wave moments from the 1980s these guys might be your new favourite band. Overboard is just gut the right mixture between – as the band calls it – ‘kraut’, sun and disco. Probably the best explanation for it.
